Profol is honored with the TOP 100 award!
Congratulations at the German SME Summit:
Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates Profol GmbH on being honored with the TOP 100 award.
On Friday, June 23, the award ceremony for all medium-sized companies, that received the coveted TOP 100 award at the beginning of the year, took place at the Summit in Augsburg.
The science journalist is accompanying the innovation competition, which is being held for the 30th time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, Profol made a particular impression in the category “Innovation Climate” within the size category C (more than 200 employees).
We are proud to be among the top innovators for the second time.
As a manufacturer of plastic films, Profol pursues the goal of developing sustainable products and components. The focus is on polypropylene, a material that is fully recyclable. “We are continuously expanding our product portfolio and developing alternatives to harmful soft PVC,” says CEO Dr. Philipp Schieferdecker. Originally specializing in the office supplies market, the target markets have shifted in the meantime: today, the company offers sustainable products for the packaging industry, as well as modern furniture surfaces and recyclable wear layers for flooring.

Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the TOP 100 award for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success to medium-sized companies. Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke has been responsible for the scientific management of the innovation competition since 2022. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
